Peak Alerts

On the hottest days of summer and coldest days of winter, air conditioners and heaters are running at full capacity. As a result, the demand for electricity often increases beyond normal levels, which is called a peak alert. To ensure that all of our members receive an adequate supply of electricity, we ask that you limit electrical usage during peak alerts.

You can help by limiting your use of dishwashers, lights, washers and dryers, and other appliances during a peak alert. Please tune in to WAQE, WJMC, WKFX, WGMO, WPLT, and WHSM for all peak alert announcements.

Any heating or cooling systems that are on load management will be interrupted during peak alerts. Barron Electric greatly appreciates your cooperation in the Load Management Program.
