Easements are strips of land used by the electric cooperative to construct and maintain overhead and underground electric. The property owner owns all of the land including the easements. However, the cooperative has a right to access that portion of land which has been designated a utility easement.

Keeping these easements clear helps the cooperative perform routine maintenance and repair lines during outages.
