What is Evergreen?
Dairyland Power Cooperative, Barron Electric's wholesale power supplier, is expanding their renewable energy program. The Evergreen Program is for those who are willing to support electricity from renewable energy sources, such as wind, gas-to-energy, and manure-to-energy programs.
How can I support Evergreen?
Barron Electric members can support the Evergreen Program by purchasing 100 kilowatt-hours of wind power for $1.50 per month for a year, in addition to their current electric bill. A one-year commitment is required, but after that, subscriptions can be canceled anytime with a thirty-day notice. By participating in the Evergreen Program, members are investing in the future of the environment for their children and grandchildren.
