Safety First!

Dairy Farm Rewiring Grant and Loan Program

Purpose: To assist dairy farmers with the cost of rewiring projects and promote safety.

Effective: November 1, 2002

Loan/Grant Description:

• Up to and including $25,000 is available with a grant/loan combination
• 20% or up to $5,000 is available from WECA grants
• 80% or up to $20,000 is available from loans
• Up to 5 years to repay
• 3% interest

Requirements:

• Dairy Farms Only
• Existing Homestead
• Credit Eligibility (no more than one late payment in the past 12 months)
• Pre-project Inspection by a State Certified Inspector
• Electrician's Estimate from a Master Electrician
• Post-project Inspection by a State Certified Inspector
• Service Agreement for Length of Loan
