Barron Electric works diligently to have strong and open lines of communication with legislators.
Cooperative directors and employees discuss with legislators key issues to ensure members of our rural community are heard. 

Co-Ops Vote is a non-partisan project of American's Electric Cooperatives designed to inform its members on the key issues facing electric cooperatives. 


 

Nearly 2,000 electric cooperative leaders, including directors & employees from BEC, attended NRECA's Legislative Conference which impacts electric cooperative priorities nationwide and any corresponding legislation. See below for more details.

Annually, directors and staff from BEC attend the NRECA Legislative Conference. They are invited to Capitol Hill to speak with congressional delegates and staff about legislative issues affecting electric cooperatives and our members.
